Play Therapy
What is play therapy?
Children often find it difficult to express their thoughts, feelings, and internal experiences verbally. Play is the language through which children choose to communicate. Play therapy is an evidence-based therapeutic modality. The benefits of play therapy have been shown to be substantial for supporting children in successfully managing and processing difficult emotions associated with depression, anxiety, ADHD, trauma and other challenges that may arise. The play therapy room is strategically designed to support children in expressing themselves and communicate what is going on for them, in order to align to a more comfortable state of mental wellbeing.
