Anxiety

If you’re starting to feel like the worries you’re experiencing are beyond a functional level and are interfering with the life you’d like to lead, then it’s time to get some extra support. Through psychoeducation, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and/or an Attachment-Based Framework, I can support you in reaching your goals and becoming your ideal “self.”

Adult attachment styles and other relational issues

Attachment is the relational style with which we connect to important others in our lives. Attachment styles form through our early-childhood interactions with primary caregivers and are shaped by our experiences as we grow up. Adult attachment is the assumption that the same motivational system that gives rise to the close emotional bond between parents and their children is responsible for the bond that develops between adults in emotionally intimate relationships. If you find that you don’t understand why you act the way you do in relationships, or feel like you want to have overall healthier relationships, then some attachment-based therapy could be exactly what you need.

Therapy for the Highly Sensitive Person (HSP) or highly sensitive child

Do you find yourself easily overwhelmed? Do you believe you feel things more deeply than those around you? Do you need time alone to re-charge, but it’s more than just being an introvert? If yes, then you may possess the Highly Sensitive Person Trait. An HSP is someone who experiences acute physical, mental, or emotional responses to stimuli. Through targeted therapy interventions I can support you in finding balance, recharging, and building a lifestyle to best promote your strengths as an HSP.

If you notice the above traits in your child, let me help. Early therapy for a highly sensitive child can help them navigate school and their adolescent years successfully.
